Cloud hosting and security
Your website or app should stay online, stay fast and keep your data safe. ByteBento sets up and looks after the servers behind it, with backups, security and updates handled, and every account in your name.
Sound familiar?
- Your site goes down or slows to a crawl and you only hear about it from customers
- You don't know if backups exist, or if they would actually restore
- Hosting is in someone else's name and you can't get the login
- You're paying for hosting you don't understand

Your options, compared
ByteBento isn't the right fit for every project. Here's an honest look at the alternatives.
| Option | Best when | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Cheap shared hosting | Small, low-traffic sites | Slow under load, limited control, and security depends on other sites on the server |
| Managing a server yourself | Teams with in-house system administrators | Updates, backups and security become your job |
| Large managed provider | Enterprises needing 24/7 contracts | Expensive and built for much bigger systems |
| ByteBento | Sites and apps that need to be reliable, secure and in your name | Care happens on business days, not through a 24/7 call center |

Frequently asked questions
Who owns the hosting account?
You do. Cloud, domain and DNS accounts are created in your name, and ByteBento is given access only to manage them.
Can you move my website from my current host?
Yes. We copy everything to the new setup, test it, and switch over with little or no downtime.
How often are backups taken?
Backup frequency is set in your plan based on how often your data changes, and restores are tested so you know they work.
Do you handle data privacy requirements?
We handle the technical side: encryption in transit, access controls, backups and logs. ByteBento is registered with the National Privacy Commission, and your organization remains responsible for its own compliance.
Do you offer 24/7 support?
Support runs on business days, with a reply within 1 business day. Monitoring and alerts can be set up so problems are spotted quickly.
How much does hosting cost?
Cloud providers bill you directly for servers, usually monthly. ByteBento's setup and care are quoted separately in a fixed proposal.
